Students in third grade have finally finished up their Grandma Moses inspired landscapes. I shared about the practice observation drawings they did at the beginning of the unit, but now I can share their finished work!
They worked really hard! They had to remember to draw their horizon line (the line that separates the sky from the ground) high on the page, include details in the foreground, middle ground, and background, AND include something they drew from observation and their memory or imagination. It took a lot, but they really were focus on the Studio Habit of Mind engage & persist, which helped them complete their work to the best of their ability. AND, it was great practice to help develop their drawing and coloring skills (develop craft).
