Origami – Grade 1 (Room 5)

Standard
Grade 1 students study Japan in their classrooms, and in art we do a small unit to complement this.  First, grade 1 artists make their own simple stamps.  These stamps are used to make a few pieces of patterned origami paper, as well as decorate their kimono’s back in their classroom.

One of the origami folds Room 5 did this year was a jumping frog.  Please enjoy the little video of all the jumping and flipping frogs!
